What is Mailcenas?

This service provides you with a secure email account protected by a multifunction filter:

Antispam Filter: Thanks to several tests practised on each message and a dual bayesian filtering, this filter suppresses most of junk mails that usually pollute all mailboxes.
Antivirus Filter: Email is the most common way for virus infections, this filter will clean up your mailbox from all those malicious messages; even if your system is not virus sensible (i.e. your not using MS-Windows™), this filter will prevent those messages with attachments from reaching your mailbox.
Banned Files Filter: Viruses are known to propagate through attachments in mails; this filter will detect messages with attachment known to be viruses favorite way of propagation.
Bad Headers Filter: For advanced users, this filter will check that messages don't have incorrect headers and will react as decided.

All those filters can be enabled or disabled at your will in the configuration interface of your Mailcenas account
Use 'demo', 'demo' to give a try to the configuration interface in read-only mode.

How to get an account?

To obtain a Mailcenas account, you must donate to a free software project of your choice.

You choose a free software project in the proposed list.
You donate to that project.
You get your Mailcenas account.
If you want to donate to a project that is not listed, just contact us providing the name and website url of that project, we will try to add it.

Additional functionalities of your Mailcenas account:

Illimited addresses number (aliases) on your Mailcenas account.
Illimited domain name number.
Ability for several people with a Mailcenas account for each to share a domain name; the domain owner adds members to that domain thus allowing the other users to add addresses in that domain.
Ability to forward your Mailcenas account to another mail account.
Senders White/Black lists.
POP3 access.
IMAP access.
WebMail access.
Storage space: 50Mo.
